The Awe and Wonder of Not Knowing

Most days this is what my theology looks like, a blank sheet of paper - tattered and torn. Slowly, over the years my dogmatic, cocksure, arrogant youth has given way to a more mellower self. I'm embracing the simple awe and wonder of not knowing all the answers of the Universe. I have found liberty in allowing God to hold the secrets of His being and me to just bask in His peace, love and light.

All of my theology now is summed up in this one verse...

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
1John 4:8

Peace, Love and Light!

What a powerful post! I have read and re-read it several times, and it rings so true. We don't have to figure it all out - just trust, yield, and find His peace that passes all understanding. Great stuff.....

Thanks Bro!
It's basically orthopraxy vs orthodoxy.

This is in line with Jesus' answer about the greatest commandment in Matthew 22:36-40

Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Peace, Love and Light!
