Love, It's The Law

 Be under obligation to no one—the only obligation you have is to love one another. Whoever does this has obeyed the Law. The commandments, “Do not commit adultery; do not commit murder; do not steal; do not desire what belongs to someone else”—all these, and any others besides, are summed up in the one command, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” If you love others, you will never do them wrong; to love, then, is to obey the whole Law. (Romans 13:8-10)

Love is the Higher Law

 

Rev Kev Sez: the Law of Love is greater than the law of the land!

No matter what SCOTUS says is legal, we are held to a higher law. The commandment to love your neighbor as yourself and the principle of treating others as you wish to be treated doesn't allow any room for religiously motivated discrimination.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” ~ Jesus (John 13:34)

I Ain't No Saint

 I ain't no saint, but I was named after one. My mom was raised Catholic and she noticed St. Kevin's Catholic Church in Los Angeles and decided to name me after the Irish saint Kevin of Glendalough.

June 3rd is Saint Kevin's Feast Day.
